March 2010 - John arrives

John Bishop has spent some 25 years creating innovative lighting designs for national opera, ballet, dance and theatre companies in the UK, Europe and further afield.

Many of John's original lighting designs have been critically acclaimed by the theatre critics and have been instrumental in the winning of three Manchester Evening News Best Opera of the Year Awards for the Buxton Festival.

John's experience of creating lighting designs with many of the top directors and designers for some 150 productions in large and small theatres, opera houses, concert halls and arenas combined with his knowledge of production lighting dimming, control, equipment, networks and systems brings new resources and fresh eyes to the practice.

John will continue to create lighting designs as we strongly believe that our theatre consultants should have, and continue to have, first hand experience of working in the theatre and concert world.
